- Clinical Buddy
The part of a consultation that is reading, done before the consultation starts.
A reasoning workspace for one patient at a time. Ask it to summarise the history, compare the last three panels or draft review questions, and check its working against the sources.
In the terms a clinician would use.
- Summarises a case history from every document already on file, with each statement linked to the page it was drawn from.
- Compares investigations across time and says which values moved, by how much, and against which reference range.
- Checks an active medication list for interactions and for doses outside the range for the patient's renal function and weight.
- Drafts the questions worth asking at this review, given what has changed since the last one.
- Prepares a discharge brief the clinician then edits, rather than one they write from a blank page.
It will not name a diagnosis, choose a drug, or set a dose. It presents considerations with their evidence and stops. Where a differential is shown it is labelled as a list to rule out, not a conclusion, and it appears with the findings that argue against it as well as for it.
Where the data comes from
- Existing discharge summaries, clinic letters and referral notes
- Laboratory results, via HL7 or FHIR R4
- The medication list held in the hospital system
- Clinician notes entered in CBS itself

The hospital management system: registration, beds, theatre, billing, the laboratory, the store, the roster and the audit trail — everything that belongs to the establishment rather than to one clinician or one patient.
FeaturesThe doctor's own tool for the day's events, for communication with the hospital, the care team and the patient, and for AI-assisted consultation — the queue, the consultation, the prescription, the ward round, the discharge narrative and the earnings statement, carried across every establishment they practise at.
FeaturesThe patient's own door: appointments, medicines, the reports and bills the hospital has released to them, the people looking after them, and the check-in, fall and SOS from the device at home.
FeaturesThe dispensary — medicines, surgicals and other consumables: the sale, dispensing against a prescription, stock in and out, expiry, the credit book, the day book and the statutory registers a drug inspector asks for.
