Out-patient unless an admission is namedDay-end check
Compares every bill's totals with its lines, concessions and receipts, and the day's receipts with the money ledger. A mismatch is never corrected here; it raises one ticket on the hospital's desk.
GST rates
Every bill line is tagged with a slab and taxed from one settings file. The administrator may set the hospital's own rate for a slab or an HSN code; it applies to lines added from then on, and every change is kept with who and why.

Room rent is worked out from the ward stays and the room rates (DK-115). Posting again replaces the room lines; it never adds them twice.

Part-payments are the normal case. Overpayment is refused — a refund is a credit note, not a negative payment.
Insurance and group cover
A payer's settlement is recorded on DK-120 and posts here as an insurance payment with the payer named.

Closing the bill
Finalising closes the bill for editing. Voiding keeps the row and its number — a bill is never deleted, because the number series has to stay unbroken for GST.
